The Adair Sheriff's Department and KSP responded with Adair County Fire and Adair EMS to the Melson Ridge community on Sandlick Road over reports of a possible explosion and fire. Monday night, March 31, 2014 just before 11pmCT.

Upon arrival members of Adair Fire and Deputy Adam Cravens drove into a wooded area leading to a small cabin where the property owner was lying down in the backseat of his vehicle.

Bjorn Meuser, 28 of Antioch TN told officers he had been burning brush and other debris then laid down to sleep in his SUV.

Meuser admitted to drinking and smoking marijuana earlier in the day and through the evening, a search of Meuser yielded drug paraphernalia.

Officers with all agencies searched the area and found no evidence of further drug activity. Adair Fire doused the area Meuser had been burning to prevent it from rekindling.

Meuser was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication, both misdemeanors and lodged in the Adair County Jail. --Deputy Adam Cravens
