Adair County School District, 1204 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY

Adair County High School freshman MaKayla Smith is already a seasoned speaker at her tender age of 15. Over the past five years she has been very active in 4-H demonstration events. This year was no different. Last night at Adair County Elementary School she competed at the county level. She received a blue ribbon score and won champion which allows her to advance to the district level. competition.

Of course, MaKayla is hoping to go all the way to state. So let’s all be wishing her well as she competes to advance in the coming months. As you can see from the picture taken last night, waiting for results, is the hardest part. Her parents Pat and Angie Smith could not be prouder of her accomplishments. MaKayla’s award winning demonstration, this year, was entitled How to Wash Your Hands.
