Men's Track & Field finishes 17th at Emory Invitational The Blue Raiders earned 19 points during the two-day meet Lindsey Wilson hosts the LWC Men's Track and Field invitational, 8amCT/9amET, Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Blue Raider Stadium, 828 Russell Road, Columbia, KY. By Pierce Yarberry ATLANTA, GA - Lindsey Wilson men's outdoor track and field earned 19 points at the Emory (GA) University Invitational to finish 17th out of 23 teams. In his first 3000 meter steeplechase race, John-Paul Williamson lead the field wire to wire, finishing with a time of 9:44.08 to win the event. The victory earned 10 points for the Blue Raiders. Lucas Wallace was sixth in the 100 meter dash, running an 11.12 for three team points. The freshman earned another point and an eighth-place finish with a 22.94 in the 200 meter dash. In the men's 4x100 meter relay, Tony Horne, Wallace, Carmetrick Ross and Max Cabe's time of 43.71 earned them an eighth-place finish and a point towards the team standings. The men's 4x400 meter relay team of Cabe, Ross, Tylor Pinkard and James Northcutt grabbed another point for Lindsey Wilson as they posted a 3:28.45 to place eighth. Williamson, Northcutt, Garry Korir and Austin Childress ran an 8:20.63 in the 4x800 meter relay, missing the school record by six seconds. With a toss of 12.92 meters, Daniel Farris grabbed another three points for the Blue Raiders as he placed sixth in the shot put. Farris also competed in the hammer throw, posting a career-best 42.57 meters to take 9th place. Max Cabe ran a career-best time of 1:01.07 in the 400 meter hurdles.
