Sen. Gregory comments on proposed school district relief House Bill 211 seeks to give relief for bad weather problems From Senator Sara Beth Gregory KY 16 - Adair, Clinton, Cumberland, McCreary, Russell, Taylor, Wayne Counties The Senate also worked this week to pass legislation to give relief to school districts who have missed a lot of days this year due to bad weather. The legislation is House Bill 211, but a compromise has not been reached yet on the best way to provide this relief in a manner that ensures sufficient instructional time is maintained for students. A conference committee of House and Senate members will seek to resolve the issue soon to allow districts to make plans for the remainder of the school year. - Senator Sara Beth Gregory This story was posted on 2014-03-22 03:35:22
