State and County road crews doing great work

By Victoria Pike
Commentary

The state and county road crews are still out trying to clear the Walmart area of ice and snow. They have certainly had their work cut out for them for the last 24 hours. These fellows need some kind of recognition for all their hard work this winter.

I was able to make it to the mill to get the calves a load of feed this morning thanks to all their hard work. The girls send a special moooo to all who made their breakfast possible.

Seriously, this community need to think about some way to recognize our road crews along with rescue, fire, and emergency services. We have had a rough winter all around, with the disaster in Knifley and this latest round of ice, sleet, and snow.

I urge each of you to take the time to go up and personally thank any and all our county heroes for what they have done for the citizens of Adair County. So THANK YOU from the Browning/Pike family for all you do. Victoria Pike
