COLUMBIA, KY - No. 15 Lindsey Wilson baseball earned wins over Taylor (IN) and Judson (IN) Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Lindsey Wilson's Egnew Park.

The Blue Raiders (8-7) started the day off with a 16-6 win over the Taylor Trojans (3-4). A Jordan Berry double to right-center in the bottom of the first brought in Derek Shugart to open the scoring. Alex Bautista advanced to third on the hit and Taylor's Jordan Coffey hit Mitchell Osnowitz to load the bases. Jeandro Andino took advantage, sending the first pitch from Coffey over the left-center fence to clear the bases. After two more Blue Raiders got on, a passed ball moved them to third and second base. Leonardo Ramirez singled to third to score Jacob Roberts, giving Lindsey Wilson a 6-0 lead through one inning.

The Blue Raiders continued to increase their lead, highlighted by two three-run home runs by Osnowitz and Baustista in the fourth and fifth innings. Lindsey Wilson led 16-0 after five before the two Taylor runs in the sixth. Aaron Pearcy came in to pitch some relief in the top of the seventh, but was taken out after allowing four runs with only one out. Jacob Roberts took over and the Blue Raiders grabbed a fielder's choice and a force out to earn the win.

England Smith picked up the win as he frustrated Trojan batters all afternoon, keeping Taylor off the board until the sixth inning when he allowed two runs. Smith finished allowing six hits and two runs, one earned, to improve to 2-0 on the season.

Bautista was a perfect 3-for-3 with two hits and three runs batted in. Osnowitz batted 2-for-2 with three RBIs and Andino went 2-for-4 with four RBIs.

Game two was a seesaw battle as both Lindsey Wilson and No. 18 Judson traded runs early. The Eagles (3-2) went up 2-0 early, tagging Blue Raider starter Luke Shearrow with three hits and a walk. Bautista responded in the bottom of the first inning with a two-run home run to deep left to tie it at 2-2.

A sacrifice fly by Mark Silva and a Shugart single to left field scored two in the bottom of the second. Judson's Luke Rojas trimmed the score to a 4-3 with a third-inning single to center. Both teams then traded two runs in the fourth and the Eagles added another two in the fifth to go up 7-6.

The Blue Raiders could not reach base in either the fifth or sixth innings, but Scott Sebald struck out a batter and induced two pop-ups in the seventh to keep Lindsey Wilson within one. Down to its last three outs, Lindsey Wilson faced Judson's closer, Jordan Pemble. Pemble struck out the first batter, but Andino and Russ Morse both singled. Michael Rosario battled back after trailing in the count, working it to full, and eventually walking and loading the bases.

Leonardo Ramirez hit a short fly ball to right field, sending Andino sprinting home after tagging up for a play at the plate. Andino leaped over the outstretched Judson catcher, who was blocking the plate, and beat the catcher back home for the tying run.

Silva stepped to the plate and roped a first-pitch single to right field, scoring Roberts from second for the walk off win.

Sebald picked up the win and is now 2-0 on the year. The sophomore struck out six, walked one and allowed two runs on three hits in three innings of relief. Shugart and Bautista both went 2-for-3 with two hits. Silva, Baustista and Berry collected two RBIs each.

Attendance: 99
