Russell County Deputies arrest two on drug charges Arrests follow receipt of call about suspicious Dodge Dakota vehicle found at Lake Cumberland Country Store Click on headline for complete story By Larry Smith The WAVE, FM 92.7 Russsell County Deputy Sheriff Clint McAninch, assised by Deputy Nick Bertram, made two arrests last night, Thursday, February 6, 2014. Arrested were Scottie Peterson, (DOB June 5, 1987) and Daniel Russell, DOB November 22, 1973, both of Jamestown, KY. The arrests were made after a call was received about a suspicious Dodge Dakota vehicle being found at the Lake Cumberland Country Store, near the State Park. The vehicle was occupied by the above mentioned after a quantity of Meth and Marijuana was found on their persons. Scottie Peterson was charged with driving on a DUI suspended license and possession of controlled substance 1st degree methamphetamine, possession of controlled substance 3rd and possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. Daniel Russell was charged with possession of controled substance 1st degeee methamphetamine, possession of controlled substance 3rd, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
