Elkhorn driver injured, single vehicle accident KY 76, Knifley area

An Elkhorn, KY driver was treated at Taylor County Regional Hospital and then transported to UL Hospital in Louisville, KY, following an accident on KY Hwy 76/Knifley Road, Campbellsville, KY.



According to the Taylor County Sheriff's Office, Charlene Gabbert, 53, of Speck Ridge Road, Elkhorn, was operating a 2010 Chevrolet 4-door sedan, eastbound on KY 76. When the vehicle rounda curve the driver lost control of he vehicle causing it to strike a tree and proceed through a fence.

Gabbert was transported to Taylor Regional Hospital by CTCEMS and was later transported to UL Hospital for inuries sustained in the accident.

Taylor County Deputy Brandon Wilson was assisted at the scene by CTC Rescue, CTEMS, and Taylor County Volunteer Fire Department. - Larry Smith
