This is a dream that most all baseball players have but very few ever get to fulfill. For those of you that have never met Derek, you are most definitely missing out on a very special young man. I was blessed enough to have had the opportunity to coach Derek for 4 years at Adair County High School. He was a model/student athlete with a work ethic like no one could imagine. His work ethic even got stronger as he got to college and i believe that is the reason he reached his dream. I have been around all levels of baseball for over 35 years in Adair County and i do believe that Derek is the first that i have witnessed to reach this level of baseball and i am so proud of him. BR> Derek comes from a super set of parents who instilled a great morals and values in a super young man. Congratuatlons Derek you make Adair County proud!!!
