Truck leaves roadway, strikes tree, and overturns in creek bed Click on headline for complete story with photo(s) By TFC Billy Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY LIBERTY, KY) - Tpr. Adam Likins is investigating a collision that occurred on Wednesday, January 15 at approximately 1:30pmET on Chelf Ridge Road. 32-year-old William Taylor, of Springfield, KY was traveling west operating a 1989 International Semi-truck. The brakes on the truck failed as Taylor topped a hill and he was unable to negotiate a curve. The truck left the roadway, struck a tree and overturned in a creek bed. Taylor was transported by a private vehicle to Springview Hospital in Lebanon, KY, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. He was not belted. Tpr. Likins was assisted at the scene by KSP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Brush Creek Fire Dept., Casey County EMS and Casey County Emergency Management.
