Injury accident temporarily closes KY 55

Traffic was temporarily stopped and later opened to one lane of traffic this morning between 10am-11amCT/11am-12pmET, on New Columbia Road/KY 55, near the intersection with Tebbs Bend/Romines Loop Road in Taylor County.

The driver of a late model Ford Club cab was entrapped after his vehicle hit a guard rail. The driver was extricated by the Taylor County Fire & Rescue and taken to Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY by ambulance.

Overturned truck after driver extricated



2014-01-07 - KY 55 near Romines Loop, Taylor Co., KY - Photo by Larry Smith, The Big Dawg, 99.9 FM. The Taylor County Fire & Rescue extricated the occupant of a late model Ford Crew Cab truck this morning, Tuesday, January 7, 2014. The accident temporarily closed down the roadway, but traffic later was moving in one lane by around 11:30amET. I'll have the complete report on FM 99.9 and FM 92.7 FM, along with the CM story, hopefully within a few hours. No details have yet been received on the names or how he accident occurred.
