COLUMBIA, KY - A total of 75 Adair and Green county children from 42 families attended the inaugural Community Christmas Dinner Friday night, December 20, 2013, in Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center. Guests were treated to a Christmas dinner, and the children were given backpacks stuffed with presents.

Children also sang Christmas carols, got to visit with Santa Claus and heard Dakota Meyer lead a reading of the Clement Clarke Moore classic poem "A Visit from St. Nicholas (The Night Before Christmas)."

The event was made possible by the Lindsey Wilson College Bonner Scholars Program, LWC Office of Admissions, Dakota Meyer Enterprises, Walmart, Toys for Tots, and Adair and Green County Family Resource Centers. - Duane Bonifer, Lindsey Wilson College
