Collision on KY 88, Green County takes life of Glasgow man Overcorrection a factor. Vehicle drops off shoulder of roadway, overcorrects and crosses roadway, striking oncoming vehicle. One driver pronouned dead at the scene. Second driver airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital where he is in critical condition By TFC Billy Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY GREENSBURG, KY - Tpr. Logan Richardson is investigating a collision that occurred today, Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 2:45pmCT on KY 88 in Green County. 54-year-old Johnnie M. McElroy of Glasgow, KY was traveling west on KY 88, operating a 2004 Chevy Pickup. 67-year-old Benny Scott of Hardyville KY, was traveling east on KY 88, operating a 2008 Ford Pickup when the vehicle dropped off the shoulder of the roadway. Scott overcorrected and the Ford crossed the roadway, striking McElroy's vehicle. McElroy was pronounced dead at the scene by the Green County Corner. Scott was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
