Kentucky State Police Post 4, Elizabethtown, KY

(BRANDENBURG, KY.) -On Friday, November 15, 2013, at approximately 8amET, Kentucky State Police Post 4 received a call from the Meade Co. Dispatch asking for KSP response to the scene of a possible death investigation at 370 Otterview CT. in Brandenburg, Ky. Upon arrival at the scene KSP Troopers and Detectives discovered the bodies of Warren E. Tripp (50), and Ellen M. Cain (42), as well as a 13 year old juvenile male. All three victims appear to have died from fatal gunshot wounds. The investigation is still in preliminary stages. However, we do not feel that there is anyone at large in this investigation who is a threat to public safety. An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow morning at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Louisville. KSP was assisted at the scene by the Meade Co. S.O., Meade Co EMS, and the Meade Co.
