Fatal collision takes life of 21 year old Green County, KY man

Deputy Adam Rainwater is investigating a collision which occurred at 10:37pmCT, on Gabe Road, 2 miles north of Summersville, KY, which took the life of a 21 year old passenger, Marty Hammons, Greensburg, KY.



McKena Wright, 18, of Greensburg, KY, was operating a 2009 Suzuki northbound on gabe Road when she dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway, overcorrected, and the vehicle overturned serveral times. Wright and passengers Mercedese Moran, 18, Greensburg, KY, and Mitchell Rice, 22, Greensburg, KY, were all belted and were transported to Jane Todd Crawford by Green County EMS, where they are being treated for non life-threatening injuries. Marty Hammons, 21, of Greensburg, KY, was not belted and was ejected from the vehicle.

Hammons was pronounced deceased at Jane Todd Crawford Emergency room.
