Food Stamp Cuts: No stamps for those doing drugs, she says Betty Gadberry writes: It may put pressure on the food pantries, but if the people getting the welfare checks and food stamps can afford to buy beer and cigarettes and do meth and other drugs then they could buy food. It is the kids that suffer because of their parents. It's these people that are abusing the system. I think that people who get welfare and food stamps should have to have a drug test even at the food pantries.
