KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY, activity report for October 2013

No fatal collisions in 11-County area in past month. Year to date fatality county less than half comparable 2012 period

COLUMBIA, KY - During the month of October 2013, there were 22 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.

There were no fatal collisions during the month of October in the Post 15 area.



This brings our yearly fatality count to 15 compared with 32 through this same period in 2012.

State wide fatality count stands at 526 compared with 596 through this same period in 2012.

During the month of October 2013, there were 1012 citations written, 199 courtesy notices written, 1247 vehicles inspected, 627 complaints answered, 64 motorists assisted, 47 criminal cases opened and 124 criminal arrests made.
