KSP Post 4 Trooper injured in single vehicle accident

Kentucky State Police Post 4, Elizabethtown, KY

(ELIZABETHTOWN, KY.) - On Thursday, November 1, 2013, at 7:06pmET, Trooper Shannan White (34) was involved in a single vehicle injury accident. Tpr. White was on duty operating her marked cruiser northbound on New Glendale Road in Hardin County, when an unidentified vehicle traveling in southbound crossed the center line and into her lane. Tpr. White steered right to avoid the collision and dropped off of the right side of the roadway. She was unable to bring her cruiser back on to the roadway and traveled down an embankment, striking a utility pole head on.



Tpr. White was able to call for assistance but had to be assisted from her cruiser. Tpr. White was transported by Hardin County EMS to Hardin Memorial Hospital withminor injuries. As a precaution, Tpr. White will remain hospitalized for observation.

The investigation into this crash is ongoing by Sergeant Kevin Burton. KSP Post 4 was assisted at the scene by, Elizabethtown Police Department, Hardin County EMS, and Glendale Fire Department. Tpr. Jeff Gregory
