School report cards out for the 8 districts in 7-County area

School report cards, with accountability performance for district as a whole and for individual schools, are now posted online. With the help of Phyllis Curry, Adair County Instructional Supervisor for Adair County Schools, who gave a detailed presentation to the October 17, 2013 Adair County School Board, compile the:
  • Adair County School District Report Card. The Adair County School System held its own, with the same overall score of 56.8 overall score and 59 percentile ranking in 2012-2013 as in the previous year and Needs Improvement.
  • The Campbellsville Independent School District improved its overall score to 55.9, for 55 percentile in KY, and is in the Needs Improvement category.
  • Casey County Schools improved their overall score to 60.9, were in the 84 percentile, and improved their classification to Proficient/Progressing.
  • Cumberland County Schools fell one point in overall score to 53.9, were in the 43 percentile in Kentucky, down for 50 percentile the year before, and are in the Needs Improvement Category
  • Green County Schools improved their overall score to 57.9 and improved their percentile ranking from 62 to 67 and are in the Needs Improvement Classification.
  • Metcalfe County Schools dropped in overall scoring slightly, from 61.6 to 60.4, and dropped in percentile from 86 to 83, but remain in the Proficient Category.
  • Russell County Schools improved its overall score to 59.4, rose to the 80 percentile from 72 percentile, and is classified as Proficient.
  • Taylor County Schools improved its score to 59.8, rose 10 places to the 82 percentile, and is in the Proficient/Progress classification.
For an interpretation of the classifications, they are, from highest to lowest: Distinguished, Proficient, and Needs improvement.
