Thinks WBKO should revisit Westlake Regional Hospital

Her many experiences with Westlake Regional Hospital have been excellent. 'We are so pleased to say that during all those visits, we have been treated with kindness, compassion, and competence by everyone from Admissions to Medical to Nursing to Housekeeping,' Mary Knight writes.

Commentary

My husband and I are very concerned by the reporting of Jake Boswell and his story which appeared on air on WBKO-Tv, August 16, 2013 . We bought our small farm in 1983, and moved here in 1994. Since then, we have been to Westlake Regional Hospital many times--as visitors and as patients.

We have been to the Emergency Room, had blood work, cat scans, x-rays and MRIs, have taken part in the annual Health Fairs, and have had several out-patient procedures. My mother -in-law was hospitalized here for several days until her passing.

We are so pleased to say that during all those visits, we have been treated with kindness, compassion, and competence by everyone from Admissions to Medical to Nursing to Housekeeping. In our experience, all of the Westlake Regional Staff continue to be top-notch during these difficult times - and we thank them.

I hope Reporter Boswell will visit Westlake and Adair County again, and come away with a more accurate impression. Thank you.

- Dick and Mary Knight
