Eugene Hadley, 79, N. Main Street, Jamestown, KY, died Monday, June 10, 2013, at the Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs, KY.

The funeral will be at 1pmCT/2pmET, Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at the Mt. Hope Separae Baptist Church, Jamestown, KY, with Bro. Randy Brown and Bro. Danny Bailey officiating. Visitation will be after 5pmCT/6pmET, at the New Hope Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Jamestown Cemetery, Jamestown, KY.



Eugene Hadley, 79, Russell County, KY (1934-2013)

He was born Sunday, January 14, 1934, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Bart Green Hadley and the late Lela Cook Hadley. He died Monday, June 10, 2013, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age 79 years, 4 months, and 27 days.

He was a business owner, the proprietor for many years of the Convenient Food Mart. He served in the U.S. Army as a Spec 4, in the Korean War.

He is survived by the following:
  • His wife: JoNell Hadley, Jamestown, KY

  • A son: Daryl G., husband of Carol Hadley, Louisville, KY

  • A daughter: Debbie Conner, Jamestown, KY

  • A brother: Dean Hadley, Jamestown, KY

  • Two sisters: Geraldine McKinney, Jamestown, KY; and Justine Wright, Indianapolis, IN

  • Three grandchildren: Kyle hadley, and Cassandra and Ryan Conner

  • Two great grandchildren: Carter and Jacob Hadley
He was preceded in death by three brothers: G.D., Mac, and Ronald Keith Hadley; and two sisters: Lou Humble and Gwendola Dunbar.

The H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 North Main Street, Jamestown, KY, in charge of arrangements.
