Lindsey Wilson Womens Basketball hosts St Catharine Lindsey Wilson Womens Basketball hosts St Catharine News from Lindsey Wilson College WISE, VA - The Lindsey Wilson women’s basketball team never trailed on its way to ending a four-game losing streak with a 70-53 win over host UVa.-Wise at the Prior Center. Jasmine Brimm and Sarah Gillis led the Blue Raiders with 18 points each while Ashley Rainey contributed her conference-leading 21st double-double of the season. Rainey ended with 13 points and 10 rebounds. The Blue Raiders (16-11, 7-10 in the Mid-South Conference) used a 21-6 run over the final 8:28 of the first half to break open a close game and lead 37-20 at the half. The Cavaliers (7-19, 4-13) opened the second half with a 15-4 run to close within six points (41-35). That would be as close as UVa.-Wise would get as Lindsey Wilson regained the momentum en route to the 17-point win. Lindsey Wilson ended the game out-shooting the host by nearly 17 percentage points -- 47.2 percent to 30.5 percent. The Blue Raiders also dominated the glass out-rebounding the Cavs 45-31. Wise's McKenzie Cluesman finished with a game-high 20 points.
