Arrest made in receiving stolen property case

By Deputy Adam Cravens
Adair County, KY Sheriff's Office

The Adair County Sheriff's Office received a report from Mitchell Coomer Tuesday February 12, 2013, that Coomer believed property stolen from him had been sold to local businesses.

Deputy Adam Cravens investigated the report and found some of Coomer's property was sold to two separate local businesses based on Coomer identifying said property.

Further investigation led Deputy Cravens to find Justin Coomer of Adair County had sold the stolen property, based on sales receipts and identification.

A warrant was taken out for Justin Coomer's arrest for receiving stolen property under $10000 and he was taken into custody Thursday February 14, 2013 from his residence. Justin Coomer was housed in Adair Regional Jail.

Receiving stolen property under $10000 is a class D felony. - Deputy Adam Cravens
