Mrs. Barbara Jean Rattliff, KY, of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

The funeral service for Mrs. Barbara Jean Rattliff was conducted at 1pmCT/2pmET,, Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Bloyd-Perkins Cemetery. Dr. Gary Ervin, Bro. Otis Skaggs, and Bro. Larry Shelton officiated.



Pallbearers: David Stearman, Tracy Stearman, Bill Henderson, Jerry Allison, Jimmy Elmore, Robert Edward Rattliff, Jerry Estes, and Marion Walker.


Barbara Jean Rattliff, Green County, KY (1931-2013)

Mrs. Barbara Jean Rattliff of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late George M. Stearman and Ora Whitlow Stearman, was born on Thuesday, June 23, 1931 in Green County, KY, and departed this life on Sunday, February 10, 2013 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY. She was 81 years, 7 months, and 18 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was a retired Machine Operator for Fruit of the Loom, Inc. having worked 32 plus years.

She united in marriage to Rev. Joseph Clellan Rattliff in May of 1949 who preceded her in death on February 14, 1979.

Survivors include the following:
  • A son: Jerry D. Rattliff of Greensburg, KY

  • A daughter and son in law: Reba and Charlie Witty of Greensburg, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Shelli Allison and her husband Jerry of Maryville, TN; and Lauren Witty of Greensburg, KY

  • Two great grandchildren: Cameron Allison, and Meghan Allison both of Tennessee

  • A brother: Carlos Stearman of Magnolia, KY

  • Two step sisters and a step brother: Zenith DeSpain, and Brenda Beams both of Greensburg, KY; and Tommy Berry of London, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends.
The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, in charge of arrangements.
