WITHIN THESE SHOWERS...WIND GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE ALONG WITH A FEW STRIKES OF LIGHTNING STRONG WEST WINDS WILL DEVELOP BY MID-AFTERNOON AS A STRONG FRONT ARRIVES. EXPECT SUSTAINED WINDS FROM 25 TO 30 MPH...WITH GUSTS OF 40 TO NEAR 50 MPH. BY THIS EVENING...MUCH COLDER AIR WILL RUSH INTO THE REGION BEHIND GUSTY WINDS IN THE WAKE OF THE COLD FRONT. ANY LINGERING SCATTERED SHOWERS WILL TURN QUICKLY OVER TO SNOW SHOWERS. SNOW SHOWERS MAY PRODUCE LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO ONE INCH ACROSS SOUTHERN INDIANA AND THE NORTHERN BLUEGRASS REGION.
