outlook issued 2:37amCT/3:37amCT Monday, December 17, 2012 by the National Weather Service in Louisville, KY: "THERE WILL BE A CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS TODAY AS A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVES NORTHEAST ALONG THE OHIO RIVER. IF ENOUGH INSTABILITY DEVELOPS THIS AFTERNOON SOME OF THE STORMS MAY BECOME STRONG WITH SMALL HAIL AND GUSTY WINDS. ANY THUNDERSTORM THAT DEVELOPS WILL PRODUCE DANGEROUS LIGHTNING."

Overnight - Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a low around 53. South wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Monday - Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 9am, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 64. South wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Monday night - Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. West wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms..
