ACHS Hoopin' It Up Classic - Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012

Columbia, KY, will be host to event with nine teams, including one from Canada

The Adair County Boys basketball team is hosting the Hoopin It Up Classic, Saturday December 15, 2012, at the John Burr Memorial Gym, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, Kentucky. Nine schools including a team from Canada will take part in the event. The schedule is as follows:
- 11:45amCT - Adair Co. vs. Cobourg West HS, Canada (JV)
- 01:30pmCT - Hart Co. vs. Todd Co.
- 03:15pmCT - Central Hardin vs. Cumberland Co.
- 05:00pmCT - Lincoln Co. vs. Henderson Co.
- 07:00pmCT - Adair Co. vs. Glasgow
Local fans will be treated to games with Adair County High School competing in the first game against the Canadians, and the final game of the evening meeting Glasgow High School's Scotties.

2012-12-15 - ACHS, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. Red letter day for Columbia/Adair County, KY - The first ever photographically proven on CM arrival of Canadian Tour Coach happened today, Saturday, December 15, 2012, with this Coach Canada one driven by Fran Buckley. The Coach carried an invasion of Vikings - the Cobourg West Junior Varsity Vikings, Cobourg, Ontario - and their coach, Sam Cavanaugh Right, Above. The photo was taken before the crowds arrived for Coach Mark Fudge's Hoopin' It Up Classic, a series of five basketball games which continues into the evening with Adair County High School boys varsity meeting Glasgow High School.
