COLUMBIA, KY - 18-year-old Kanissa'a Thompson of Columbia, KY has been arrested and charged with Assault, 2nd Degree. Post 15 Troopers arrested him today, Thursday, December 13, 2012, at 3:33pmCT at a residence on Grady Loop Rd in Adair County.

The arrest stems from an incident that occurred in the early a.m. hours of Sunday, December 9, 2012, when Thompson assaulted 24-year-old Dakota Meyer of Adair County. Meyer was treated and released at Westlake Hospital, Columbia, KY. Thompson was lodged in the Adair County Jail, Columbia, KY. Tpr. Adam Likins is continuing to investigate. - TFC Wm. Gregory
