Nine from LWC on 2012 NAIA Football Scholar-Athlete List

Only 259 nationwide qualified for the honor

COLUMBIA, KY - A record nine football student-athletes - Caleb Bogard, Keith Couch, Trey Knecht, Shane Latham, Ryan Locker, Charlie Mullennex, Matt Powers, Chase Simpson and Tanner Strein - from Lindsey Wilson College received 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, officials from the national office announced on Wednesday. In order to be nominated by their head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher and have reached a junior academic status.
