Paul Ford, Taylor County, KY (1927-2012)

He was the patriarch of a large, respected Taylor County, KY family. His marriage to Delora Blevins Ford, who survives, endured over 63 years. He leaves 8 direct and three step living descendants. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Lowell Avenue Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY.

He united in marriage to Delora Blevins February 1, 1949. Paul Ford of Campbellsville, KY, died at 12:20pmET,, Friday, December 7, 2012, in Campbellsville, KY. He was 85.

The funeral service is 10amCT/11amET, Monday, December 10, 2012 at Lowell Avenue Baptist Church, 420 Lowell Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Dave Walters, with burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery, West Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation is 4-7pmCT/6-8pmET, Monday, December 10, 2012, at the Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, and after 8amCT/9:00amET, Monday, December 10, at the church.



Pallbearers: John Allen, Barry Blevins, Jerry Blevins, Randal Rafferty, Tom Thomas, and Danny Tucker.


Paul Ford, Taylor County, KY (1927-2012)


Paul Ford was the son of the late Carley "Bob" Ford and Pearl Carnes Ford Pierce. He was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, November 25, 1927. He died Friday, December 7, 2012, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 85 years and 12 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Lowell Avenue Baptist Church.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served his country honorably in the United States Air Force.

He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY.

He united in marriage to Delora Blevins February 1, 1949.

Besides his wife, Delora Ford, he is survived by the following:
  • Two sons and one daughter: Don Ford and wife, Elaine of Port St. Lucie, Florida; Mary Ellen Lowe and husband, Bob of Charlotte, Michigan; and Byron Ford and wife, Bonnie of Riverview, Florida

  • Three granddaughters: Kimberli Gribbins of Charlotte Michigan, Jennifer Ford and Stefanie Ford of Tampa, Florida

  • Two great granddaughters: Emily Whatley and Ellie Wiseley

  • Three step-grandchildren: Jessica Lowe, Patrick Lowe, and Alison Lowe of Charlotte, Michigan

  • One half-brother: Johnnie Pierce of Campbellsville, KY

  • And many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberli Ann Ford.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to the Alzheimers Association or Lowell Avenue Baptist Church Christian Life Center and may be made at the Parrott amd Ramsey Funeral Home.
