ACHS Basketball teams show great support for Connor Anderson

Gymnasium was sea of Green for Connor; event raises over $1,000, according ot late word from Adair County Coach Mark Fudge

On Tuesday night, December 4, 2012, the Adair County High School Indians and Lady Indians showed their support for Connor Anderson, a nine-year-old fourth grade student at Adair County Elementary School, who was diagnosed with cancer when he was two-and-half years old. Connor is also going to have a bone morrow transplant in the near future and his sister, Mackensie, a second grade student at ACES, is his bone marrow donor.



The teams and fans showed their support for Connor and his family by wearing green to the game. The Indians and Lady Indians collected over $1,000 to help support Connor and his family at this difficult period in their lives. Connor was given a basketball signed by the ACHS Indians and Lady Indians players and Coaches: Trevor Willis, Jake Hixson, Chance Melton, Matt Fudge, Jacob Pooler, Makayla Matthews, Katherine Curry, Alex Keltner, Brooklyn Coomer, Beth Owens, Hannah Absher, Whitney Turner, Harlee Smock, Marshall Shelley, Kel Stotts, Zach Hutchison, Trent Jones, Aaran Taylor, Gabriel Alfaro, Jayden Willis, Ty Bennett, B.J. Steinhilber, Kyle Burton, Colton Back, Kassidi Taylor, Mercedes Cox, Tanner Pooler, Ashley Bragg, Emily Peck, Katie Keltner, Sami Jo Kemp, and Mark Fudge.

With Connor at the event were his sister, Mackensie Anderson, aunt Pat Hopper, grandparents Mark and Charlotte Thompson, and his father, John Anderson. - Jennifer Myers
