Edward Herfel, 89, of Comanche Way. Russell Springs, died Monday, December, 3, 2012 at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral services for Edward Herfel will be at 7pmCT/8pmET, Thursday, December 6, 2012, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Frank Scott officiating. Burial will be Friday December 7, 2012 at the Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH.



Edward Herfel, Russell Co. KY, (1923-2012)


He was born Friday, January 12, 1923 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio. He was the son of the late Erhardt and Mary Iding Herfel. He died Monday, December 3, 2012, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 89 years, 10 months, and 22 days.

He was a veteran of the US Army serving in WWII and a member of the Russell Springs Main Street Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his wives; Clara Poteet Herfel and Patricia Coffey Herfel.

He is survived by the following:
  • Three step children: Juanita Stout, Richmond, KY; Bill Fox, Williamstown, KY; and Don Fox, Cincinnati, Ohio
