Thanks to all who made Christmas in Columbia a success By Debbie Selby I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in Christmas in Columbia. It was definitely a great success. All events had wonderful attendance. So thankful the weather was great and the parade was beautiful. We had approximately 60 entries in the parade which made for a wonderful event. Christmas in Columbia cannot happen without the participation of the community. I would like to thank the following sposors who contributed to make this event happen --Burton Stone, Community Medical Supply, Community Trust Bank, Duo-County Telecom, First and Farmers National Bank, Gaddie-Shamrock, Key Mortgage Company, McDonald's, Stotts Construction, United Citizens Bank, Bank of Columbia, Barger Insurance, Day & Day Feed, Durham & Zornes Attorneys-At-Law, Jeffries Hardware, Lewis Transport, Lynn's Service Center, Reed Brothers Insurance, Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, Walker Realty and Columbia United Methodist Church. In-Kind Sponsors - Adair County Community Voice, Adair County Fiscal Court, Adair County Garden Club, City of Columbia, Adair County Jailer Rick Wilson, Class D Coordinator Dennis Selby, Donnie Rowe, Town & Country Lanes & Inflatables, Columbia Magazine, Franklin Motors, IMO Pump, Morgan Smith Industries, Lindsey Wilson College, ZRT Services, The Adair Progress, WAIN Radio and WHVE Radio. We could not have Christmas In Columbia without the sponsors who are dedicated to the citizens of Columbia and Adair County. Again, I express my deep gratitude and appreciation to everyone who helped in any form or fashion. I would also like to wish each and everyone a very happy and blessed holiday season. Merry Christmas and may we never forget the reason for the season. --Debbie Selby This story was posted on 2012-12-03 14:08:25
