Fog is a Factor in morning commute - Larry Smith

Newscaster urges extra care driving this morning

From Larry Smith, WAVE FM 92.7 FM
As he cautiously pulled into the Studio

It's not the worst I've ever seen, but Fog is a Factor and has made the drive from Campbellsville to Columbia treacherous. Lake Effect Fog is incredibly dense in the Campbellsville area to the Tebbs Bend Road area in Taylor County.

This morning, at about 5:15amCT, it was pretty clear from Coburg into Columbia, with Fog a Factor only in the low lying areas around Russell Creek. Then from the Green Hills Road east on KY 80 to the station, it was slow going, though not so bad as in Taylor County.

What is usually a thirty minute drive on a clear day took over 45 minutes this morning. Hope the fog burns off early, but, to be on the safe side, commuters should prepare for longer commutes. Haven't heard from other areas where Fog is a Factor, yet. - Larry Smith, FM 92.7 The WAVE, Radio. Phone 270-384-7979
