A Columbia Christmas Chorus: Starting a new tradition The Adair County Ministerial Association, with singers from Trinity United Methodist Church and Eunice Church of God already committed, invite other congregations, individuals to be a part of a revival of Christmas Caroling as it was once done across the land By Charles Grimsley This year there will be a new addition to the Chamber of Commerce Christmas in Columbia Program. Starting at 4pmCT, Saturday, December 1, 2012, the Adair County Ministerial Association will be sponsoring "A Columbia Christmas Chorus" in front of the Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY, to help us ring in the holiday season with everyone and their family. For all who want to sing Christmas carols just like when they were kids, we invite everyone to join in by singing the songs of the season with the Trinity United Methodist and Eunice Church of God choirs in celebration. We also invite other churches throughout the county to join together as one large choir as everyone joins in with them singing by candlelight to celebrate Christmas. There will also be special music performed. Also the Cafe on the Square will be there with hot chocolate to keep everyone warm. Other choirs wishing to join in will need to contact Charles Grimsley at 270-384-5658 or Barry Bradshaw at 270-566-2463. Please help us as we start a new tradition. --Charles Grimsley This story was posted on 2012-11-27 18:12:57
