Betty Carol Bethune, 58, departed this life on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the St. Joseph Catholic Hospital in Lexington, KY.

Funeral services were held at 11amCT, Saturday, November 24, 2012, Jacob Grove Baptist Church, 4770 Hodgenville Road, Summersville, KY, with Rev. Henry Nelson the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Green County Memory Garden, Summersville, KY.



Pallbearers: Earl Barnett, Billy Jean Mitchell, Donnie Williams, DeWayne Thornton, Greg Thornton, and Tyrone Miller

Honorary Pallbearers: Junior Barnett, Udell Thornton, James "Mann" Thornton Flower Girls: Tracy Thornton, Candace Thornton, and Pam Miller

Betty Carol Bethune, 58, Green Co., KY (1954-2012)

Betty Carol Bethune was born on Friday, June 18, 1954 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY to Georgetta Barnett. She departed this life on Thursday, November 15, 2012, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY at the age of 58 years, 4 months, and 27 days.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Henry Lee Bethune.

She leaves to cherish her memory, the following:
  • Her mother: Georgetta Bethune, Louisville, KY

  • And step father: Richard Bethune of Louisville, KY

  • One daughter: Michelle Lynn Bethune of Coppell, Texas

  • One son: Jason Richard Bethune of Lexington, KY

  • Three grandchildren, Kelsi Marchelle Thompson, Tremayne DeJuan Kilgore, Jr. and Brianna Marie Bethune

  • And a host of cousins, relatives and friends
She loved to play Bingo, go fishing and was always humble and young at heart.
