News from City of Columbia, KY

COLUMBIA, KY (Monday, November 26, 2012) - Last week, Columbia Police Department Officers Brad Scholl and Drew Conn traveled to Milford, CT, to deliver relief supplies from the citizens of Columbia/Adair County to the City of Milford, CT, a community hard hit by Hurricane Sandy.

Milford was chosen as a community to help after Melinda Coomer McNaughter, a Columbia, KY native and the daughter of Dalton and Faye Coomer, got word to Mayor Mark D. Harris of the plight of Milford, where she now lives.

Mayor Mark Harris and staff at the City of Columbia want to extend their gratitude to all who gave or helped in the effort in some way. It was a huge success. - Rhonda Loy
