There's still time to post Thanksgiving events Make it simple: Fast Track submissions using "1) Copy/Edit 2) Copy/Send" There have been an incredible number of postings to the CM Events page, especially for the Thanksgiving weekend. We'll still be able to post events, closings and for the holiday and the weekend. During the past month, so many publicists have followed our recommendations to send in the CM signature style that we can say that all events sent in that format have been posted, and we've been able to do a few of the labor intensive outlyers, as well. Click Readmore to see the simple way to be an internet journalist, where Events postings are concerned. If you follow the instructions, and the Event is not posted within 2 business hours, give a call, to 270-250-2730, preferably while you are online and have a pen and notepad handy, and we'll guide you through your next email submission. Events listings are not accepted by telephone, unless there is an emergency. Fast track your events As many of the Events received at ColumbiaMagazine.com are posted as time is available to do so. CM Events capsulize as much essential information as possible as briefly as possible. Publicists can Fast Track announcements by following some simple steps. Simple 1-2 step way to send events to ColumbiaMagazine.com A large number of contributors - perhaps a majority - have adopted a submission procedure which has streamlined posts to the CM Events calendar. Their submissions take top priority. They go to the top of the queue (and try as we may, there are always more submissions than we can process). It's a simple 1-2 method: 1) Copy and Edit (Make the changes needed to fit your Event.) from one of CM online Events posts. They are edited to say it the way we say it and the way we post it - in the exact sequence, style, content, even the spacing we use. Small things matter, like the way we say when and event occurs ("5amCT/6amET, Saturday, October 20, 2012"). This is the way we say time, day, month day and year on the site.Because of the time savings to ColumbiaMagazine.com, submissions handled in this manner are given a higher priority in the queue. If a submission is not posted within two hours, call 270-250-2730. Thanks. - Ed Waggener This story was posted on 2012-11-21 04:46:51
