Crash in Hardin County closes 1136 Bridge over WK Parkway

From Chris Jessie, Public Information Officer
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, District 4, Elizabethtown, KY

Elizabethtown, KY (November 19, 2012)- A commercial vehicle crashed into the KY 1136 bridge over the Western Kentucky Parkway in Hardin County on Monday night. The impact caused damage requiring closure of the bridge. The bridge will remain closed through the morning commute as Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Crews set up signals on Tuesday to allow alternating one-way traffic to safely travel across the bridge while repairs are made. All lanes of the parkway are open. - Chris Jessie
