Mrs. Pansy Jackson Arms Blythe, Knob Lick, KY (1936-2012)

She was a member of a large respected Cumberland County family with strong ties in Metcalfe County, KY. She was the wife of Johnnie Blythe, who survives, and leaves 16 direct living descendants. She was a member of New Sulphur Baptist Church, a homemaker, farmer, dietician and seamstress.

Mrs. Pansy Jackson Arms Blythe, age 76, of Knob Lick, Ky. formerly of The Bearwallow Community in Cumberland County, KY. passed away Wednesday November 14, 2012 at the T. J. Sampson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services for Pansy Jackson Arms Blythe will be Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 2pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY: with burial in the Murley Cemetery. Visitation for Pansy Jackson Arms Blythe will be after 11amCT, on Friday, November 16, 2012, at Norris-New Funeral Home until the funeral time on Saturday.

She was born in Cumberland County Ky. on Thursday March 26, 1936. She was the daughter of Willie Archie and Flora Riddle Arms. She died Wednesday, November 14, 2012, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 76 years, 7 months, and 19 days.

She was a member of New Sulphur Baptist Church, a homemaker, farmer, dietician and seamstress.

She is survived by her husband, Johnnie Blythe of Knob Lick, KY, and he following:
  • Her children: Judy (and Jerry) Spears of Summershade, KY; Peggy (and Harold) Spears of Louisville, KY; and Wayne (and Tammy) Blythe of Edmonton, KY

  • Seven grandchildren: Tracy Spears (Richard) Beckwith, Tanya (Charlie) Matthews, Charles (Tabatha) Spears, Ricky (Hollie) Spears, Chad (Rebecca) Pennington, Melanie Blythe and Cody Blythe

  • Six great grandchildren: Halli Spears, Christa Spears, Phillip Wade Spears, Isabelle Spears, Alyvia Spears and Emma Matthews
