Today is the 37th Great American Smokeout By Jelaine Harlow Today, November 15, 2012, marks the 37th Great American Smokeout. This is a day set aside to encourage smokers to make a plan to quit or quit for the day. The adult smoking rate in Adair County is 33% compared to KY at 29% and 20.4 in the U.S. The youth smoking rate in Adair County is 30% compared to KY at 25% and 19% in the U.S. Adair County currently has 15 smoke free restaurants/deli's: Ol' Joe's Que. Burger King. Cafe on the Square. Circle R Restaurant. Dickey's Barbecue Pit. Hometown IGA Deli. Lindsey Wilson's Cranmer Dining Center. McDonald's. Pablo's Mexican Grill. Subway of Columbia; Subway inside Walmart. Taco Bell. Wendy's. Westlake Regional Hospital Cafe. William T's: Truly Exceptional Dining.
