CU receives grant from The American Council on Education By Mary Kutter News from Campbellsville University CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - Campbellsville University has received an American Council on Education (ACE) $18,000 grant. CU was been awarded the grant for its Community Retention Network project benefitting African-American adult learners from the Louisville area, and is one of six universities in the country to receive one of the grants. The project builds on the work being done by Campbellsville's Louisville Education Center, which provides degree and degree completion programs exclusively to adult learners including a large percentage of students from the African-American community. The grants are part of ACE's national initiative to ensure more adults in the United States obtain college degrees, according to Jonathan Riskind, the public affairs director for The American Council on Education. Campbellsville University will present their project results at the ACE Annual Meeting, next year in Washington, DC. This story was posted on 2012-11-05 09:48:46
