WEST LAFAYETTE, IN - Lindsey Wilson College scored the first eight points of the game, but not much went right after that, losing 89-33 in exhibition play to the Purdue women's basketball team on Sunday, November 4, 2012, at Mackey Arena.

The Boilermalers, ranked 18th in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll, answered the Blue Raiders' early lead with a 29-2 run to help take a 43-18 lead into halftime.

After the break, Lindsey Wilson scored just 15 points in the second half as Purdue hit four 3-pointers and 12-of-14 free throws to extend its lead. Five Boilermakers reached double figures, led by Sam Ostarello with a game-high 14 points.

Lindsey Wilson was led by Jasmine Brimm and Sarah Beth Gillis with 10 points each. Ashley Rainey pulled down a game-high eight rebounds, but failed to connect on a field goal, finishing 0-for-6 from the field.

Rainey wasn't alone with cold shooting as Lindsey Wilson shot just 27.3 percent as a team. It shot a higher percentage from beyond the arc at 28.6 percent (4-for-14).

Purdue's pressure defense forced the Blue Raiders into 30 turnovers with just three assists. The Boilermakers also held the advantage on the glass, 45-23.
