LWC Men's Basketball opens season with 69-56 win over Cincinnati Christian Columbia, KY's Kalen Kimberland leads scoring with 19 points By Chris Wells News from Lindsey Wilson College BARBOURVILLE, KY - Kalen Kimberland led three Blue Raiders in double-figures as the Lindsey Wilson College men's basketball team beat Cincinnati Christian (Cincinnati, Ohio) University 69-56 tonight at the Bulldog Classic hosted by Union (Barbourville, KY) College. Less than 24 hours after an exhibition win at home on Friday night, the Blue Raiders (1-0) laced them up for real tonight in their only game of the Bulldog Classic. Daronte' Clark added 13 points and seven rebounds while Darren Ballou contributed 12 points to join Kimberland in double figures in the season-opening win. Trailing 7-6 -- their only deficit of the game -- the Blue Raiders used a 24-8 run to take a 30-15 lead with 6:30 left in the first half. Cincinnati Christian (0-2) managed to trim the Lindsey Wilson lead to three (42-39) in the early stages of the second half before the Blue Raiders regained control. Lindsey Wilson scored the next eight points - Ballou contributed four of the points during the run - to push the lead back to double digits. The Blue Raiders extended their lead to as many 18 points before winning 69-56.
