A List of Revolutionary War Veterans Mike Watson writes: In response to a query on CM last week, prompted by the Revolutionary War veterans marker on the Courthouse lawn... A list of Revolutionary War veterans who are known to have lived in Adair County. Some lived and died here; some lived here for a time and moved away; some moved here near the end of life. Several resided in Russell County once it was formed. Some lived very near the county lines and are claimed by more than one county, and rightly so. Any additions and corrections to this list will be greatly appreciated.Note: Click on the article title to view the whole list. We'll be incorporating the names into our List of Adair County Veterans, and we encourage folks to check both lists and then send in any additional information using our Contact Form.
