Dakota Meyer: A true American Hero

'Dakota, you inspire us and as a proud father of two young boys, I can only hope that they grow up to be men of honor and humility like you.' - JOHN BAM CARNEY

ByJohn Bam Carney
Rep. KY House District 51, Adair and Taylor Counties, KY

In a day and time when most of our society are celebrating TV stars, athletes and musicians to an unhealthly degree, the story of Dakota Meyer is so important.

He is truly an American Hero.

I had the honor of having Dakota speak to a couple of high school classes last year and his humble demeanor left me and them stunned.

It's safe to say that he has and will influence our community, state and country in a great way.

He has reminded us of what America is about, putting others before ourselves.

I was so honored and humbled last March when he came to Frankfort to be recognized for his accomplishments.

Dakota, you inspire us and as a proud father of two young boys, I can only hope that they grow up to be men of honor and humility like you. - JOHN BAM CARNEY
