Scenic Adair Co, KY: Redbud and Cedar

2011-04-05 - Photo by Linda Waggener.
Two of my favorite things: Redbud in spring and deep green cedar all year around. I found these on KY 704, on a trip to see how far WLCU FM 88.7, could be picked up on the radio. It was pretty good - no static until we reached West Fork Road in Cumberland Co., KY, maybe 40 miles from the Campbellsville University tower. Scenic Adair Co., KY: Downtown Redbuds in bloom

2011-04-06 - 300 Quadrant, Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
Redbuds planted a few years ago and new Welcome banners are brightening downtown Columbia this week. Increasing numbers of redbuds are seen each spring thanks to special plantings and redbud giveaways. There will be another one, with a very limited number of seedlings, at 10amCT, Friday, April 8, 2011, at the Chamber Building, 201 Burkesville ST, Columbia, KY. This photo was taken Wednesday morning, April 6, 2011, in midmorning. By the way, B.J. Fudge says he's tried it, that sprinkling redbud flower petals on one's salad it much beter.
