Birds of Kentucky: Fat bird is fluffed up to keep warm

Maury Lewis writes:
This female Cardinal is fluffed out to keep warm and we learned in Birding 101 classes that the birds actually shiver to keep warm.

The last Birding 101 class is being held tonight at 6:30 at the Extension office. Even if you have been birding for a long time you may just find out something you didn't know.

All ages are welcome. Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Brownies and Cub Scouts. -Maury Lewis
