Switching parties can be done on fewer days in Adair Co., KY By Sheila Blair, Adair Co., KY, Clerk Window of opportunity closes to Nov. 6-16, 2009 and December 23-30, 2009. There are 35 fewer days available because law requires registration books to be closed 28 days before, and 7 days after the December 15, 2009, election. Due to the special election for the school tax, which will be held December 15, 2009, there will be a change in the deadline in which you may change your party affiliation. The law requires us to close the registration books 28 days prior and 7 days after each election. Therefore, anyone wanting to change their party affiliation may do so on the following dates.
