Obituary: Mary Helen Bennett 76, Adair Co., KY

Mrs. Bennett was a member of a large, respected family with deep roots in Western Adair and Eastern Metcalfe Counties. She was a homemaker and a member of the Prices Creek Baptist Church.

Mary Helen Bennett age 76, Edmonton, KY, a resident of the Bennett Ridge area of Adair County, KY, died Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at her home.

Funeral services will be held 1:00pmCT, Saturday, November 7, 2009, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Morris Chapel Cemetery, 46 Morris Chapel Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, Friday, November 6, 2009, and after 9amCT, Saturday, November 7, 2009, at the funeral home.


She was the daughter of the late William and Mollie Roach Judd.

She was a homemaker and member of the Prices Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: Gearld and wife Janet Bennett of Edmonton, KY

  • One grandson: Jason Bennett and wife Alisha of Edmonton, KY

  • One great grandson: Blake Bennett

  • Three sisters: Dessie Bragg of Edmonton, KY; Martha Bunch of Edmonton, KY; and Christine Judd of Glasgow, KY
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Finley Bennett; four brothers, Harvie Lee, Owen, Ernest and Millard Judd, and one sister, Florene Workman.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, is in charge of arrangements
